Once bail is known, family or friends can call an agent. The bondsman gathers the defendant’s information and explains the paperwork and financial responsibility.
Complete the paperwork
The indemnitor signs the required documents and accepts the obligations of the bond, including financial responsibility if the defendant fails to appear as required.
Post the bond
A licensed bondsman posts the bond at the appropriate court, jail, or facility according to local procedure.
Release and court compliance
Release timing is controlled by the facility. After release, the defendant must comply with all court dates and bond conditions.
